The InsectAway® system came on the scene in 1971 with the advance of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis (VEE). It was the first system that sprayed an entire barn or facility automatically, with an insecticide that was deadly to flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects, yet was safe to warm blooded animals.

Pyrethrum...Nature's Own Insecticide

Natural pyrethrum, extracted from daisies, has been used since early in the 20th century as a safe insecticide. It has a quick knockdown and kill, is biodegradable, and no insect has ever developed a significant immunity to these natural pyrethrums. Nature's own insecticide has proven so safe that its use has spread to human food processing plants, and the FDA and USDA accept its use in these sensitive areas.

Why the InsectAway® Formulation?

Although safe and powerful, natural pyrethrum can be made even more effective when used in automatic spray systems. Therefore, we have developed our own formula to combine pyrethrum with other substances to increase its effectiveness. Additionally, the entire formulation is emulsified so there is no separation of insecticide.
